Over one hundred years ago Mr. Charles Eaton created a ferry crossing that would connect Warren County to the outside world. Ironically, one hundred years later the “spirit” of Mr. Eaton’s crossing would be our disconnect to the outside world. That’s right, our eighty acres of forest and our mile of natural shoreline create the setting of a much slower and simpler time. Our community is a total reflection of the past. Our streets, our homes, our boathouses, our walking trails, and our clubhouse remind you of a time that life seem to flow at a much slower pace. The clocks seem to tick a little slower in our grandparent’s house, and that is what drives the theme of Eaton’s Crossing.

Our community is designed to reconnect each owner with their family, environment, and themselves. We all need a get away to slow down and recharge the spirit. Our land plan began with the priority of trees, yes trees. Our property has an impressed stand of old hardwood trees that create a canopy that could never be replaced. We left a thirty foot natural buffer between our home sites and the crystal clear waters of Lake Gaston. This buffer will be enhanced by walking trail that will meander for over three miles throughout our community. These natural walking trails will connect you to all the amenities of our property. Off of the trail you will see our 20 day slips by our private watercraft loading dock and ramp. Located on the points of the property, you will see five community boathouses that remind you of old, turn of the century, ferry boats. The upper decks are for the enjoyment of all of our residents, and the lower level is assigned to boat slip owners only. We only touch the shoreline five times in almost a mile to ensure the natural look along the shore that we have insisted upon.

Nestled in the center of our property will be our Eaton’s Crossing Club. The club is designed to be inviting, casual, and connected to the community. This is the heart of the community; the old country store, or market where everyone would meet and talk about the day. Jackets will not be allowed. Flip flops and t-shirts would make us more comfortable. The pool will be designed with children and grandparents in mind. There will be expansive pool deck for those who want to take a day off from the lake. We have left common space for grills, fire pits, volleyball, tennis, sports courts, tot lots, horseshoes, or whatever the community decides is important. Eaton’ Crossing is truly a community and a sanctuary for family and friends. It is a place that you will be proud to be apart of. If your heart rate doesn’t lower a bit, and your blood pressure doesn’t decline slightly, we have failed.
