Lake Gaston may be the best kept secret when it comes to lake living in the southern US. I remember the first time I visited the lake. I could not understand how this lake was within 30 miles of where I grew up, and I wasted all that time at the other lakes in the area. The water was absolutely crystal clear. The shoreline was beautiful(440 miles), and the water level never fluctuated. The other area lakes had floating docks and muddy fluctuating shorelines. I think Lake Gaston is just tucked away between Richmond, Va. and Raleigh, N. C. so remotely off the major roads, that it is just now being discovered.
If you haven’t made the short drive to the North Carolina/Virginia border, you owe it to yourself and your family. Eaton’s Crossing is right in the center of the lake. Our mile of shoreline is the most desirable location on the lake. We are close to everything, yet tucked quietly in the forest. You will be impressed!
